SouthPeak Interactive Corporation and Firefly Studios have today announced that upcoming castle building strategy game Stronghold 3 will be released on PC later this summer. The release window has been pushed back to include a host of great new features that will ensure Stronghold 3 truly is the king of the castle.

SouthPeak will publish Stronghold® 3, created by the influential and respected UK developer FireFly Studios. The game will be released globally for Windows PC in the first quarter of 2011. The Stronghold franchise has sold in excess of five million copies to date, generating over fifty million dollars in revenue.

First published in 2001, the Stronghold series is one of the most respected in its genre, with the franchise selling more than five million copies globally. Stronghold 3 promises to build on these firm foundations with a significantly improved graphics engine and new gameplay elements. Firefly Studios' Stronghold 3 is due for release on PC in 2011.
